2017 is in the books. Done. Finished.
It was a good year in many respects full of milestones and accomplishments.
I turned the big 4-0. I finished my first book. I started my second. I attended my first writer’s conference and found my tribe. I finally called myself a writer.
2018 has some big shoes to fill.
I’m going into it with my eyes wide open and a clear idea of what I want to accomplish. I want to grow more as a writer. I want to create new worlds and new characters. I want to tell stories.
And in order to do those things I need to get out of my comfort zone. What better way to do that than taking a trip…by myself.
I never travel alone (unless it’s for work and that doesn’t count). I take trips with my husband. I take trips with my kids. I take trips with my friends. And all of them are awesome. But they aren’t just about me.
So for the first time in my adult life, I’m doing something just for me. Something that I hope will fill me with inspiration and renewed joy.

And so it begins…
