Review: Jana Goes Wild by Farah Heron

I absolutely love Farah Heron’s novels. Every single one of her books has been a five star read for me and when I heard she was writing about my favourite secondary character from KAMILA KNOWS BEST, I was counting down the days until I could read it.

Jana Suleiman has always had a hard time loosening up. Maybe because the one time she trusted her heart instead of her head, she wound up pregnant and alone. Five years later, having given up on love and shifting her focus to her daughter and her career, Jana finds herself a bridesmaid in a destination wedding. The only problem is Anil, the father of her child and the man who broke her heart, is also part of the wedding party and she knows it will take everything she’s got for Jana to get through the next two weeks.

This second chance romance made me feel all the feels, especially when Jana allowed herself to be vulnerable and we got a true sense of her. The setting is a character in itself, with Tanzania and the Serengeti adding so much to the story. I have long dreamed about taking a safari and Heron made me feel like I was actually there alongside Jana, Anil, Kamila and all the others.

Heron’s sharp and witty writing pulls you into the story and makes you feel like you are part of the wedding party. I loved JANA GOES WILD and you should definitely put it on your list for when it releases on May 2.
