Secret Lives of Mothers & Daughters covers so many important topics but – at its core – Kushwaha has written a wonderfully layered, multi-generational tale about the power of love and the bond of motherhood.
The writing is lyrical and powerful. The emotions all of the characters are feeling jumped off the page and into my own heart. I was sorry to reach the end of this book and can’t wait to read whatever Kushwaha writes next.
